Three rules for removing negative thoughts

Negative thinking.  A hole in your mind.

Remove negative thinking to live a wholesome life. Thus, letting go of ties that bind is vital.

As a coach, I meet innumerable cases of men and women suffering from negative thinking. There are several reasons why this could be happening. Each argument it’s based on a different cause, and I personalize a solution based on their unique case. However, there are some signposts for removing negative thinking that is a common denominator for all. Applying these simple steps will surely help.

Rule #1: Do not watch, read or talk about anything negative.

This visual effect can happen through the news, social media, friends, or even the sword of negative criticism by closed ones. The purity within us gets contaminated. In contrast, talk, read, and watch only what is positive. I know, many might be thinking, “but I need to live in reality and know what is happening.” Yes, you surely have the right and need to know what is going on. However, it is best practice to clean your inner self before you receive information so that you can filter it by your intellect. If you take in negative details when you are already in a negative tone, it will just enhance your already negative predisposition. The practice of Rule #1 will take you to the next signpost.

Rule #2: Watch, read and talk about the positive.

The practice of this teaching has incredible rewards. For those used to talking, watching, or understanding what is harmful will find it hard in the beginning to change gears. However, I urge you to take this practice as a spiritual retreat.  The sensation of purity is so immense that you will start walking amidst the trash without being contaminated.

Rule #3. Do not talk negatively about others.

For many, gossiping is the most enjoyable sport. And most businesses make money due to the high demand for “what is that person” doing news.” However, it has harmful effects on our mind, body, and soul. It also encourages comparison which later leads to envy and jealousy. Therefore, think positive.

Knowing ourselves is our number one priority. If we focus on getting to know “us,” our life will feel more fulfilled making each moment meaningful.
